Eureka !

Ah Ha !!

I knew that there was some basic , defining difference between the term "spindle" , and the term "axle" !

So , if wheels have fixed axles , around which hubs rotate ,

And , bottom brackets have spinning spindles , inside non-rotating cups and bottom-bracket-shells ,

What do pedals have ?
