If the last time I attended the Trexlertown Swap Meet (three years ago, I believe) was as beautiful as fall in this part of country gets, this time was about as nasty as the fall in this part of country gets (except it could have rained harder or snowed, I suppose.) On the sunnier side of the comparison, I thought there was far more stuff "of our interest" this time around than three years ago.

There were many CR members there: those set up to sell were the following that I knew and met: Harvey Sachs, Larry Black, Sam, Roy, Joe, Steve, and several others I do not remember. Multiple CR members wandering the crowd. I spent most of the time sloshing from booth to booth with Charlie Young and had a wonderful time of it. The original "what, me worry" Larry Osborn seemed to congeal from the mud whenever I made a purchase to ask me, like a personal conscience, "what are you going to do with that?"

Steve Maasland had some astounding examples of track bikes from the thirties through the sixties. Other bikes of interrest for this group were the following: a nice Roberts touring bike, a very good example of a Windsor Pro, a Marononi track bike, a curved seattube Paramount, a Batavus track bike (I never could find the seller of this to discover how much he wanted for it), Sam had a neat fifties or sixties Frejus chome track frame (that might also have been at last year's Cirque), a member picked a beautiful example of Raleigh Pro from the seventies, and others that I have now forgotten. There was also, I thought, certainly enough vintage parts to keep me wandering around until almost the end.

All in all, a very worthwhile trip for me.

Cheers.
