I just had an informative conversation with Alexander Von Tutschek in England. He tried in vain to make reservations at the Red Roof Inn for the Cirque and was told they were booked up due to the huge High Point (NC) Furniture Market taking place at the same time! This turned out to be a computer glitch, that event is over April 28, so I had them correct it. Hilary Stone and Alexander and his wife are now booked in there at $42.50 per night!
That number again is 1-800-RED-ROOF or 336-852-6560.
For your quick reference, the nights in question for Cirque are Thursday, April 29 through- Sunday May 2.
It seems that the O.Henry Hotel also had problems finding our reservation block and quoted poor Alex $221.50 per night! Our special rate there is $139.00 per night and if making arrangements, you just need to be tenacious about making them look up the block under "cycles de ORO" (word the request exactly that way) The O.Henry is REALLY nice so you may want to treat yourself and it is very close to the activities....1.800.965.8259 or 336.854.2000.
