Hi Rod,

The Paul's definitely have the most vertical adjustment of any cantis out there. One thing you should be aware of if setting them up for 700C wheels on a frame designed for 27", is that you will significantly increase the mechanical advantage of the brake with them so low on the post. To get good brake feel yo may need to run the straddle wire quite long, which may be problematic on some (particularly small) bikes.

Hi all, I need some new cantilever brakes for an early 80's Trek 720 touring frame I'm building up. I want to run 700c rims in lieu of the stock 27" ones.

Has anyone tried this and do you recommend any specific brake such as Mafac's, Paul's, Ritchey's, etc. I'm totally open as to the brand.

Thanks,
