Listers and Listees,

I have a 1981 Motobecane Catalog, which has some good picutures of the seat stay treatment on both the LeChampion with Reynolds 531 tubing and Team Champion with Columbus tubing. The stays are brazed to the seat lug at the midpoint while the bike in question has stays that slightly wrap around the top of the seat lug. Doesn't the bike in question also have a eye on the drop out for a rack? The LeChampion and Team Champion did not have the eye on the rear dropout.

The $20 Thrift Store LeChampion with the Alpine Hubs and Sifem pedals I posted to the list about two months ago also has the slight wrap around stay treatment. I couldn't tell from the Photos of the bike in question but the one I have has very long pointed lugs with cut outs. There is also a decal on the right rear bottom stay the reads "Huret Titane"
