Subject: [CR]Avant Courier Claud Butler Found ???

GlacierWow ..... I can't believe my luck sometimes. Late 40's Claud Butler Avant Courier frame and fork found in Western Canada.

I am hoping to get directed to a copy of a late 1940's Claud Butler marketing piece to confirm the find, can anyone direct me to a web site? The frame has the distinguishing long point lugs and nearly the same amount of trail as Peter Fonda's Harley in Easy Rider.....

Presently frame has been nickel plated (a while back) to save the frame from further pitting and deterioration, a good move? I would love to get recommendations from the list for the restoration. The frame should be in Toronto in a few weeks.

I will post some pictures as soon as I can. In the meantime; How do you fill the pits on a pitted frame? Brazing? Resin? Body Putty?
