Charles Nighbor was asking about the modern Paris Galibier's. In approximately 1983 Mike Kemp (Century C.C.), with Tom Board ex Paris- Rensch apprentice and two other persons reformed "The Paris Lightweight Cycle Company". I have copies of their original catalogue detailing the wonderful virtues of the "Galibier" design and that the only improvement they could suggest was the use of Campagnolo road ends and a micro fusion fork crown. This company also manufactured the full range of Paris frames, ie. "The Tour de France" lugged or welded, "Professional" and the "Dame". The main UK agent was Condor Cycles of London. Tom Board is still active in the cycling trade and Condors is still in Gray's Inn Road, London. Condor's have now moved to new premises on the opposite side of the road. Sadly Mike Kemp recently passed away. Neville Ireland the VCC marque enthusiast for Paris is in contact with Mike's widow and is recording the details of this second Paris company.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
