Hi, Don and Harvey,

I have used and own 3 sets of those Altenberger Synchrons, they works very well. There are two types, short and long. The short ones are good for 27-1/4" rims, and longer one for 26" rims, I guess.

I could not use the long pair for certain frames, because brake pads went up all the way yet cound not meet the side of rim wall. You have to invent "up" bolt, which is opposit of "drop bolt" to mount them.
