Folks they are only words. We can discuss how sellers on E-Bay may use them or miss-use them, but remember they are only words. If this discussion drifts into the murky world of how we, ourselves, use these words caution must be taken. Inevitably someone will feel the need to point how some list member does not use the word according to the critic's criteria. At this point we are starting to show dis-respect for the other person's judgment and choice of words. I am unaware of this ever happening on the list without hard feelings and occasionally some valued member leaving in a huff and we all end up the poorer for it. I think there is a lot of room to cut slack for whether my definition of "classic" meets your criteria or not. Such discussions can drift us into troubled waters. Frankly, as long as the communication is honest and sincere, I don't care a fig about narrow definitions that are derived from a personal slant on such things. If you think only a '70s Masi is a "Classic" and that my '81 is not, great potential for personal hurt feelings could result in your seeking to "educate" me on this matter. It might be better to point out what you feel the virtues of a '70s model are that an '80s model lacks. Words are only our tools, but they can get bogged down in definitions in arguable areas such as we often deal in on this list. Be careful folks. I don't want to lose one more member over some of the silliness that has caused eruptions here before. Just my outspoken two cents worth,
