Apparently Ebay simply allows sellers to make their feedback private. You can still see the overall positives, negatives and neutrals.
Sounds like a good reason not to bid.
Feedback on Ebay can be frustrating for sellers however. One knucklehead buyer asked me to ship a $7 item to a third party and claimed it wasn't received, I sent him his money back including shipping and then he gave me bad feedback! All you can do is tell your story, but this negative sits at the top of your feedback page permanently.

E-Bay private. I had never heard of this and hope some members can shed
some light on the process. I am wondering what exactly is the function of
having feedback if it can be made private and why E-Bay should allow such a
thing? Anybody have any experience with this or thoughts on the matter?
