The Hard Road has been out for a little while and I have a copy of it. It is a documentary of the 2001 season (and only season) of the NetZero team. The movie was put together by team leader Jamie Paolinetti. NetZero was a low budget team based out of Southern California that had a fair deal of success but disbanded after only one year. The movie shows the sacrifices the new pros on the team needed to make and the change in attitude through the season of the wives and girlfriends from to support and enthusiasm to asking "when is it going to end?" The slow decline in the team is also obvious as money begins to run out at the end of the season and the racing schedule is continuously cutback.
Overall it's a pretty good movie and gives a look into the professional teams struggling to make it in this country that you usually don't see. At $28, it's a little expensive, but it will be very hard to find in any rental place. It's on the web at http://www.thehardroad.com.

Members have expressed a great deal of interest in cycling films in the
past. I thought I'd alert the group to a new film about to be released
called The Hard Road. I am not sure, but it may be a documentary about
getting a racing team into position to be competitive on a significant
level. I have a copy pre-ordered and I'll post again if I think it is
something y'all (that's for Lou) would be further interested in.
