Richard,
I did respond to one of the postings regarding the NR 'tripple' conversions.
Back in the dark years of the mid-seventies I drilled and tapped the arms of a NR 172.5 crankset for Stronglight 99 chain rings. This gave me rings down to 28 t and they were quite cheap.
I used the Campy studs and bolts that were used with the Campy tripple. Still works.
I went thru a number of front ders., a Suntour Montech and now use a Shimano Deore XT. Most of my chainring combinations have been 52-42-32 with various Regina ORO 6-sp up to 31 t.

Ahoy, all:
If memory serves - and it doesn't neither well nor often - a Lister mentioned using a NR front der. with a triple crank and without problems. And, there were several posts on drilling an NR crank for triple yet, no mention of compatible front der. Will the NR front accomodate a triple? Thanks. Richard Cielec Chicago, Illinois
