Actually, there have been some quasi-nasty hooks in many of my events but i was most appalled (and unnerved and almost dumped big time) when , as a new-to-the-boards rider on the concrete crater I was actually on the wrong side of some elbows that evasive manuevers were needed.
Yes, the cliff-hanger was maybe a little 'over the edge' but it was engaging to watch as a cyclist. More real than the pump-as-a-brake scene in Breaking Away, no?
