With a heavy heart I'm going to sell this and a few more bikes over the next several weeks due to some massive veterinary bills for my wife's horse. For the animal lover's, the horse will be fine in the end.
1981 Hetchins Keyhole-Spade Deluxe, Straight Stay, 56.5 X 56.5 cm c-c. 100 cm wheelbase. Medium blue with white panels, gold lug lining. 3/4 chrome on stays, seatstay bridge and fork. Reynolds 531 tubing with the short Campagnolo fork ends. This is a very fancy and tasteful straight stay Hetchins. I have never seen one like it.
This bike has a classic racing geometry, with room for larger tires if desired. The original owner picked the frame up at the Southend shop and the receipt is included as are a full set of replacement decals, with some extras because Southend decals are supplied in addition tothe regular ones. Proper Reynolds 531 Decals included also.
Equipment is all Campagnolo Super and Nuevo Record with the exceptions of SL pedals and a Phil Wood BB. TTT bar and stem, Brooks Swallow saddle, Binda extra straps, Campagnolo Alloy toeclips, Blackburn wb cage. Mavic G 40 clincher rims with Panaracer Tourguard 700X28 tires, DT spokes. Suntour 13 X 26 six speed freewheel.
Condition is outstanding. To my knowledge the bike has never been ridden in the rain and has very few miles (500-1000). The paint is very nice, although there is light crazing. I don't think there is a scratch on the bike. The worst issue are the decals, which must have been applied on an off day. All are suspect but the downtube decals are mostly gone. For this reason the full decal set is supplied in case you want to replace the decals now or wait for an eventual repaint.

Some of the color is a bit off because I shot the pictures on a dreary day here.
