I've had numerous SP bikes over the years, ones I've built and Italian ones, and they have all been EITHER 26.8 or 27.0. I don't have a great explanation for it, one that I silver brazed and did only the very slightest reaming in, is 26.8, another one I silver brazed is 27.0.
