I was hoping it would go for $700 - $1000 because it would have gone to me! I'm trying to find a 60's/70's Cinelli Super/Speciale Corsa bike or frame. Actually, this one on eBay was too big, I really need a 55 - 57 cm frame but I would have gone for it anyway if the price had remained lower. If anyone out there has one to sell, please contact me - and no one else.

As for the price, I was a bit too late responding to get the Cinelli offered for $1100 or so a few weeks ago on the CR list and I missed another one that was advertised elsewhere for only $600. Both of these ads were for complete bikes but I don't know what their condition may have been. Since I want something to ride, pristine condition isn't important, and since winter is coming to Cleveland soon (and my wallet is feeling light), I'm in no hurry to buy a bike I won't ride for 5 months.

It's late and dark and time to pedal home, uphill all the way. But, hey, it's November 4 and it's 73 degrees here on the North Coast. Life is good.

Does this constitute a new high for a neo classical (or should that be a classical modern) Cinelli? I had expected it to go for between $700-1000.
