Interesting.... I happen to have some unbroken Racers on my M. Yvars and they squeal every bit as vociferously as MAFACs.

Don't be afraid of the aluminum cable sets. While they feel like limp pasta out of the bag, they are more than stiff enough once the cable is tensioned.
