Stevan:

Thanks.

What are used as references?

You see where I am going with this inquiry - how to measure a stripped out frame and fork to determine type of brake.

I've seen drawings to measure brake reach on calipers. But, I'm curious as to the method a Frame Builder uses to determine reach from the frame's point of view.

Hi Richard, I do a full size drawing and design it in. It raises or lowers the lower head lug, and changes a couple of angles. There are probably computer programs. Stevan Thomas
