Okay folks,
Having set off a bit of a discussion about "vintage" and "classic," I have a "vintage" or is that a "classic" Jack Taylor frame up for grabs.
As with the PX10 I sold last week, I am posting this to the list because this too is the wrong size for me (again thanks David for setting me straight).
This is a 1974 #6635. It is a pretty little frameset (51 CTC, 56.5 CTC). Unfortunately, it was stripped of paint by a previous owner. Nevertheless, it has Nervex Pro lugs, internal cable routing in top-tube, braze-ons for shifters (we debated this for a 1974 model!), bottle-braze-ons, Campy drop-outs and fork-ends, drilled for recessed brake bolts, almost certainly 531. It is straight with no dents and no serious rust problems. It would make a wonderful project and I am disappointed to have to part with it, but it really is too small for me! Pics upon request!
As before, I am desperately looking for a project (I have nothing at the moment). I would really like to trade for a similar quality British frame (something early 70s or even earlier would be nice) if possible - in a 54-55 cm (CTC) frame. If I don't get any takers I would be willing to put it up for sale - $100. (please tell me if I am off base!)
Please contact me off-list.
