Curiously, I saw Dave only yesterday. He was selling some of his old shop stock at the "Haddenham Hard To Find". This is a regular cycle jumble of mostly new stuff held at Haddenham Bucks. Lots of campag stuff there yesterday including Dave's NOS high flange hubs, hundreds of 'em. I got to know him when I lived near his shop at Twyford, Berks in about '96 or so. I'd tell the missus that I was just nipping down to the bike shop to pick up something and I wouldn't be long. I don't believe I ever visited his shop for less than an hour, Dave could really tell some stories...Anyway I moved away and I heard that he had health problems. Recently heard again that he was OK and saw him yesterday, back in fine form...

cheers Bob Knight (in very frosty) Thame UK

sneaked a pair of tyres and a set of handlebars from the cycle jumble around the back of the house and into the outbuilding without the missus seeing...
