When I bought my brand new Campy Hi-Lo rear hub , way back then , from a mail order discount business ( I'm fairly sure it was Bikeology ) , there was special mention of the fact that those hubs did NOT come with a box . The mail order company was being careful that the customers understood - those hubs did not come from Campagnolo in boxes . When my hub arrived , it was in a small , but somewhat thick and heavy , transparent plastic bag .

And that company did not offer them in pairs . They left it up to you to buy a front hub of your choice . But of course , a high-flange front would not make the most sense , with a Hi-Lo rear . . .

And I too always thought that they were only shipped from Campagnolo with 5-speed axles . But of course , it's so easy to switch axles . . .
