Let's calm down and ease up here... Leave Dale Phelps out oof your e-mailing.. Yes, you don't agree with him but you know where he stands, right?
In fact, as we approach the climax of the Holidays, I urge you all to relax and enjoy rather than let stuff "get to you!."
My thoughts regarding the Carsten Rehbein situation...
While not perfect, he had enjoyed a great reputation as a collector and seller of cool old stuff. Many, many of us have conducted mutually satisfactory transactions with him. Recently, we have all heard references to a "family situation" or "personal tragedy" that obviously has involved the formation of a new entity to do the e-commerce, "Cycle-network."
So some of you are 2 months + late in receiving these "grab bags" ... Of course, it would be nice if Carsten or his new partner had made a posting explaining the circumstances and requesting more time to properly fill the orders, but I don't think any one of us believe that any intentional fraud has been perpetuated. It simply would be out of character.. It IS believable that some extremely difficult personal occurrences have dramatically changed things for Carsten.
So, I for one, recommend what you would want others to do if the situation was reversed.. Be patient, wish the best for Carsten and his family, and hope that he (and new partner?) will be able to rebuild our trust through honoring his obligations.
That's sort of a Christmas attitude to take, no?
