Morning Tom (and All),

The "Starfish" crank (Mod. 637) appeared in the late 80's (maybe very late 80's). I thought the indexing shifters came out in '90? 1986 would be too early for these parts, as Mavic's top equipment was SSC in those days.

Mavic's equipment was very well made, but lacked (IMO) the aesthetic quality of Campagnolo. They also got into full line components rather "late in the game" which may explain why the interest in their equipment is less than Campagnolo's. Things seem to catching up however (if eBay is any indication?).
