Subject: [CR]Seasonal greetings and a thank you to all!

Hi Folks,

I hope that this doesn't break with list protocol. However, I am feeling somewhat seasonal and Christmassy as I look out my home office window at a perfect wintery scene - a brilliantly sunny day and several inches of fresh snow. I would, therefore, like to take this chance - in between baby minding and thesis writing - to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas, Hannukkah, etc. and a joyful New Year. I hope everyone gets what they hope for in the way of classic bike bits and bobs - I am still hoping for that very special "vintage" frame from the UK!

I would also like to say thank you to all who have offered me advice, insights, parts, and distractions from other issues over the past year. I have thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the CR list - thank you Dale - even when the discussions get somewhat fractious. After many years lost in the wilderness, I credit the CR list with re-kindling my love of classic lugged steel (Although, my wife may have different feelings as my collection is now steadily growing). With the exception of the Ottawa listers (David, Rodd, Emerson and Jeff), I have not met anyone else on the list but I sincerely hope that I can rectify that one day. It would be particularly nice to meet, in person, many of you I have corresponded with regularly off-list (Chuck B., Grant, David F., Steven, Bruce, Eric, etc.). In the mean time, let's all keep those old-wheels turning.

Best wishes to all,

Paul Williams,
