I really enjoyed the link to all the velodromes of the world. It is quite interesting. Thanks, Dennis. One of the most exciting tracks I've had the pleasure of racing (and crashing!) on was Alpenrose Velodrome, in Portland Oregon. Steep! I've also been to Aarhus, Denmark; Brno, Czech Republic; Zurich, Switzerland concrete track; Vigorelli, Milano, Italy; T-Town, Lehigh, PA; Encino, CA; Kenosha, WI; but my latest visit to a velodrome was in Daegu, South Korea. I just got back from a one week trip to Daegu for work, and was shocked to find the velodrome right across the street from my hotel. Too bad it was so cold there, or I would have been out doing flying 200m sprints until I was blue in the face. Cool track. Can't wait to go back to Daegu this spring, so I can take my PJ custom steel track bike over there and show those Korean trackies how the Yanks ride!

Keep on sprinting!

Here is a interesting site listing most, if not all(?) the velodromes in the world, past and present. I learned that my local track in Matsumoto has 34 degree turns. I'd like to check out the tracks with 47 degree banks, and the one in Casablanca. It lists something called the "Vandedrome" in Colorado, 1995-, portable, 125-155 meters, wood, 53 degree turns. Wow, 53 degree turns! Anyone ever ride there? It must be like surfing the north shore in Hawaii.
