yeah thats me, "the other"...the one who had low tolerance for whatcha all were saying about Carsten, the one who had almost as little tolerance for getting a bunch of abusive e-mail, and wierd phone calls at my work. The one who made the poor choice of typing f*** , yet managed to quietly take it while about 30 (or more) other posts (from only about 4 people?) piled on. I owe no apologies, if anything, the folks who cried "slander" or "fraud" (towards myself or others) or managed to work themselves into a froth s/b more than apologetic.

Though I may be the loser for it, I will not be going out of my way to make any rides in the Alameda area (isn't Alameda an island?) although the San Fran Bay area is my home, and a ride at the holidays with other members (like Steven) would have been nice. Again, like I say, I am sure it is totally MY loss, especially for typing an allusion to a word every one of us hears when we ride public roadways!

...but... and here's the best part.... at least you all shut up finally about Carsten....at least for now.

One question, though...I know your opinion is important to you, just as mine is to me, and no one wants to be bothered by another person's insistence on disagreement. Where's the logic in publicly trouncing someone when they ASK to be left alone? And, if ever, who decides WHOSE wishes are more (or less) important?

Best wishes for the holiday time,

Dale in Boulder
