I have a very nice 50s Bauer gents city bike (no racer). It is gray with nice decals and world champion stripes and a decal on the top tube that says "brand of the world champion of 1952" (put that in your translation engine). That world champion was of course the german Heinz Mueller, who won in Luxembourg.
This bike is part of a 1,000 bike that the Berlin senate stashed in 1955 in the aftermath of the Berlin Blockade (along with tons of canned beef, and grains). It is in top shape and has a plethora of "Bauer"-label add-ons such as fenders, lock, saddle and bell. Union lights and dynamo. Weinmann front brake. Rigida Superchromix rims. Torpedo single-speed rear hub. Frame size 57 cm c-c , top tube 59 c-c 26" wheels.

This is nice for getting rolls on Sunday morning (my bakery is next door ...)
