Salovesh (originally "Soloveichik" - Russian for nightingale, now a few generations and half a world removed, but yes, distantly related to THOSE Soloveichiks)

Washington (named for George Washington, the first president of the United States of America)

District of Columbia (the current name for the "Federal District" originally planned by the Frenchman Pierre L'Enfant and surveyed by African-American Benjamin Banneker)

USA

Please: if you believe in all the things for which the American Revolution was fought then you must help correct the continuing injustice perpetrated against the half million people living in Washington DC without benefit of full representation in congress. Write your US representative or ambassadors to the US and UN in support of measures to establish and respect our basic rights as citizens. http://www.dcvote.org/
