I'd bet celeste makes a reference to the sky, as the English word celestial does. Probably from the same Latin root. Maybe Edoardo Bianchi was a bit of a classical scholar, or at least passed Latin in school. Note that Torpado also had "Celeste" as a signature color, but theirs always remained a sky blue.
