Hey gang:

Jimmy, that was a great reminder.

Will any CR list member volunteer to keep tabs on the bikes as we all report in and then publish the cumulative list at intervals between now & spring? I am too over-booked to add that to my to-do list! Thanks in advance!

Also, the committee has been struggling with the burgeoning problem of the total number of bikes in the show... Last year it approached the maximum that the space will allow and still have room to navigate and see each bike. We DO NOT want to have any "juried process" to select bikes for display so, for 2004 at least, we are asking that you, the attendees, be self policing.

We think maybe 4 bikes max person is a good guideline and that you should really think hard about the quality and appropriateness of each bike you choose to bring. The committee does not want to be snobby or dictatorial in the show's makeup, but all of us agree we want the standards & quality to be high. Actually even that statement worries me, as we have had neat and fascinating bikes that were not, in a sense, "high quality", but which had historical or novelty value that made them a fit at the Cirque...

So, I am content, for this year, to rely on the good taste and self restraint of the attendees. But at least now you know how successful the event has become and that the "good problem" of too many cool bikes looms ahead!

Merry Christmas, Joyous Hanukah, and Happy New Year to all!
