My name is Gregg Hessick and I am new to the list. I am 56 years old. I live in Glendale, CA where I was born. I am a commercial loan officer by profession. My first road bike was a Urago purchased from Bob Hansing at Montrose Bike Shop in 1960 when I was in 7th grade. I really wanted an Ideor. When I was in Junior High now live about 2 blocks from Montrose Bike Shop. My current road bikes include:
Rossin - Casati - (all chrome) Casati - (gold line purchased in 1999 from a 75 year old who only rode it twice. He usually rode his chrome paramount) Casati - frame only (purchased last month on E-bay for $50.00) Cinelli - Super Corsa - a recent purchase from GVH Bikes (not 1983 or older but nice) Schwinn -11.8 Voyageur - all chrome, heavy and made in Japan but still rides unbelievably well. Centurion - Dave Scott Iron Man in immaculate condition. I just could not pass it up for the $95 price.
When it comes to classic steel "too much is never enough". I am anxious to add to my collection with something more exotic and rare. However, I think I will keep the family peace for awhile and show some self control. I am very interested in any information on doing your own frame painting and any information on decals.
