I solved this issue once and for all with my latest lugged steel frame acquisition.
The frame is from the 21st Century.
The components are from 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, & the 21st century.
Now if I could only find a 1950s Brooks saddle. I would have a time machine spanning 6 decades.
