Just as another note, In the movie Novacaine (which I didn't really like but noted) Steve Martin is a dentist and while working he puts on a french film about a postman who rides his bike all over...they point out this movie a few times and show a short clip of it. I wonder if it is the same one!

Hi All, I too watched 'Bellville Rendezvous', shown here in England on Christmas day. It is a brilliant portrayal of all things that are French. Loved it & would recommend it to any Francophile. Also another Brilliant film is Jacques Tati's 1948 JOUR DE FETE. a tale of a French postman who sees an American film about speedy postal methods at his local fete, & try's to recreate it on his bicycle. Anyone who hasn't seen it, should. Happy New Year. Tim
