But I won't know what it is until I go get something that removes both paint and epoxy.
Epoxy 'cause the plastic cable guide was both riveted and epoxied to the bottom bracket and placed pretty much right over the serial number.
I drilled out the rivet and popped off the cable guide and there it was.
Any suggestions as to what to do to get off that epoxy? I don't want to sand in order to avoid obscuring the bottom bracket and I'm not sure that lacquer thinner will take the epoxy off.
Once I have that serial number, I'm hoping for more of an ID
