Really interesting about the stem. The pictures have me really curious though. All the Lasers I've seen pictures of were blue, and had parts from the early 80's. So my questions are (sorry if some are silly)

1) What years was the Laser made

2) Were they mostly blue, or is it just a coincidence that I've seen blue ones

3) Were they sold as frames only? or as complete bikes?

Thanks, Steve Birmingham Lowell, Ma

CINELLI STEM FANS:

The "idiots only" Laser features the evanescent Cinelli XR stem. Note the horizontal red line in the top picture (ending in a circular stress relief).

The XR is the missing link between the classic-yet-flawed 1R and the off-topic-but-no-longer-modern XA.

Not like anyone should stop the presses or anything, but this is the first time I've ever seen one mounted on a bike. What a surprise that it should be a Cinelli.
