Also, some spam programs try mailing to every possible combination of letters @yahoo.com or what-have-you, so you'll get spam even at a newly-created e-mail address that you haven't used for anything. I wouldn't assume some list member added you to a spam list - that seems like the least likely of the several scenarios I can think of. I'd sooner suspect Yahoo of selling you out.
