I concur with this statement as well, and I have kept results of auctions for the past four years. One example is the PX-10: In 1999, PX-10's which were advertised as "nice, clean, original, etc....." were selling in the upper $300-$400 range with Dubois lugs. Similar PX-10's with Nervex Pro lugs were often getting into the $600 range.

Recently, I have seen fairly nice examples barely get past $200 (and not meet reserve as Lou pointed out).

Many Raleighs have also suffered a similar fate as well as Motobecanes and other "run of the mill bikes."

I guess "eBay giveth and eBay taketh away."
