Congratulations! Restoring a BSA Path Racer is an admirable endeavour, on a slightly smaller scale but perhaps similar to a once unknown Kiwi Beekeeper's adventure who reached the summit of Mt. Everest.

I have also relied upon the Classic Rendezvous Team, received significant advice on the infamous BSA Path Racer, and amazingly even acquired NOS parts from Hillary Stone in the UK during investigation of my 1914 Path Racer. Fortunately there are a couple of complete early Path Racers to study among the CR List-members' collections. This morning after reading your post I discovered two more examples.

Beautiful 1940's BSA Path Racer with some Italian influence http://www.bikecult.com/works/collections/bsatrkpg.html

Very Nice 1950's BSA Racer with Fixed 1" Pitch Drive Train http://www.bikecult.com/works/collections/bsasl.html
