A while back it was mentioned on the list that there is a Shimano DA dating system; specifically that rear derailleurs were marked on the pulley cage. I have a DA rear that is all bright alloy (no black) with the stippled surface surrounding the "Dura Ace". There is no date anywhere. The body pivots say "pat. pending". Any idea on the date?
