Happily, this is not the case. There are very many small scale artisan frame builders in Japan, that remain virtually unknown to us, just as there are in Italy, France, England, U.S., and elsewhere.

Nagasawa has stood out on account of quality, of course, but also because of exposure from producing frames for the increasing popular and publicised Kerin racing.
