Tom, I used a few Arc en Ciels, both for training and racing. I remember they weighed about 330 grams and were pretty inexpensive in the early 80s. They were plenty durable back then, but I weighed 165. Now I'm fighting the 200lb mark and I remember the bigger guys riding GP-4s? But you probably don't want the dark hard ano look? I think the double eyelet design will take enough tension to stay true for even us big guys. You will notice the bulges on the sidewalls as the brake pads wear away that satin anodizing. Use a fat tire and take it easy on the pot holes...good luck.
