Subject: [CR]FS: Bianchi Folgore frame with Campagnolo Corsa gear.

For sale: John Pergolizzi and I presented a number of bikes at le cirque. One of these bikes was a Bianchi frame from the 40's that I take to be a Folgore model. We would now like to offer it for sale to the CR list. It is a great starting point for a full restoration.

The data is as follows:

Brand: Bianchi Model: Folgore? Year of production: 40\u2019s Frame size measured in cm (center to center): 54,5 Top Tube length measured in cm (center to center): 58 The frame has been repainted (acceptable but far from concours) Transfers (decals): headtube, seattube Drop outs: Bianchi forged 17tooth Cambio Corsa drop-outs. Serial number and location: B260611 on seatlug Frame braze-ons: mudguards Frame features: BB oiler

Components: Gear mechanisms: Campagnolo Corsa Brakes: calipers Universal 49? Headset: Bianchi integrated Hubs: Bianchi branded FB with Cmapy open 'c' skewers Rims: at present it has Ambrosio clincher rims from the late 50's or early 60's which are not correct. Bars: none Stem: none Chainset: none Seatpost: none 25 mm required Saddle: none Pedals: none

At le cirque, the bike was offered at $1200. This price is somewhat negotiable. I can help with a few period pieces if necessary and am happy to send photos to those who are interested.
