Subject: [CR]library find

Hello,

While doing some research on my Italian cycling history project today, I came across some interesting books in Ucla's Young Research Library. The first two are over 100 years old.

Name: Velox.

Title: Velocipedes, bicycles, and tricycles: how to make and how to use them. With a sketch of their history, invention, and progress. By "Velox."

Published/distributed: London, New York, G. Routledge and sons, 1869.

Physical description: x, [11]-127 p. illus. 17 cm.

Name: Albemarle, William Coutts Keppel, Earl of, 1832-1894.

Title: Cycling / by Viscount Bury and G. Lacy Hillier.

Published/distributed: London : Longmans, Green, and Co., 1889.

Physical description: xiii, 452 p. : ill. ; 20 cm.

Series: The Badminton library of sports and pastimes.

Notes:

Includes index. Illustrations by Viscount Bury and Joseph Pennell.

They also have copies of Britains Cycle Touring Club magazines from 1965,66, and 67; lots of good ads and articles

and this book in Italian about the 1949 Giro

Name: Pratolini, Vasco.

Title: Cronache dal Giro d'Italia (maggio-giugno 1947) / Vasco Pratolini ; introduzione di Goffredo Fofi ; postfazione di Alberto Polverosi.

Edition: 1a ed.

Published/distributed: Milano : La Vita Felice, c1995.

Physical description: 128 p. : ill., map ; 18 cm.

Stuck in the library when I should be on my bike,

Chris Ioakimedes
