Indeed, I get the "digest" mode, and missed your posting. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and thanks to Steve for the additional info.

The "Catalogo" indeed is an invaluable resource. I recommend it to anybody even remotely interested in Italian bikes.

But mine (one of the first produced) does not appear to have the Cambio Corsa instructions. Neither in the front with the catalogs, nor in the back with the supplementary materials. Was this added more recently than my copy?

When I "learned" how to shift the Cambio Corsa, there was no info available. Nor do I know any Italians who could teach me. I just got the bike, and figured it out. It works well... but then, I haven't put more than 500 miles on the bike.

The not-very-round chainring on the bike may require more chain slack than the sideways twist of the chain can give. But I will have try the "officially recommended" technique and see. It sounds appealing, because it would give a constant chain slack (more or less).
