There was also a Nuovo Record seat post, which featured the alloy lower clamps and thinner upper clamps of the SR post. My understanding is that this Nuovo Record replaced the Record at the time SR came out. The Record post became the GS post around this time.
Also, some Record heasets came in boxes marked Nuovo Record, but were not different in any way from a normal Record. This is the word from E-Richie.
