Subject: [CR]Warning! For Sale Ad Follows - 1960 Atala frameset

For Sale: 1960 Atala frameset. $250 plus shipping.

51.5cm c-c seat tube, 53.5cm c-c top tube.

Original copper paint in fair condition, lots of scratches and nicks, but no rust problems.

White paint on headtube has fallen off, leaving a fairly smooth grey primer beneath - should be an easy respray.

Headtube badge is the small 1950s version, fair/good condition (paint) it is off the bike.

Chrome good to excellent condition, includes fancy head and seat lugs with lovely paisley-shaped window cut-outs, 1/3rd fork and stays, fork crown with double slots in sides.

Don't know tubing maker - 26.8 seat post.

Campagnolo fork ends and dropouts w/fender eyelets were originally painted blue over chrome, typical of Atala from this period. Have been repainted bluish green (patina to the frame's copper color).

Includes Atala-embossed Magistroni O.M.V. tipo "Brampton" steel headset in good condition some chrome flaking off upper surface.

Will build into a nice Gran Sport-era racing bike. Plenty of pics available, just ask.
