Subject: [CR]Master Framebuilders who's name was never on the bike

Hi LIst

Got to thinking this morning: how about a list of master framebuilders whose work was graced by another downtube decal?

My buddy Morgan was a friend of Mario Confente, and Mario told him there was a museum (bike museum? bike display in museum?, we don't know, Mr. Maasland?) in Italy with four different marques that were built by him. My mind is failing me on the four now, IIRC two were Masi (of corsa) and Poghliaghi. I will check with Morgan next week to find out for sure. Morgan went to Italy to find said museum two summers ago, could not find it, realized he went to wrong end of town, and will look for it next time he goes. BTW, Morgan has a georgeous Masi built exclusively for him by Mario for his birthday. Hmmmm.

In the US, because my mind has "borders" this morning, we can list Joe Stark (Masi) Mark Bulgier (Davidson, maybe slightly off time but keeper of the flame anyway).
