I does seem strange that only we in the US use the Park type repair stand. Everywhere else I've been in the world uses the European type repair stand that holds the bottom bracket and front fork. The Ultimate stand works great -- I've had one since they first came out in the 80's. I use a toe strap around the downtube and front wheel to hold the front wheel in place. And, of course, it is a Binda toe strap.
