You don't need silver solder, regular plumber's solder and acid flux works fine. It is vital to splay the ends. Also, motorcycle shops dealing in English motorcycles have lots of different cable ends-making cables is part of the deal with them. Phil Brown Still got a cold in San Rafael, Ca
