I have a Learco Guerra with Cambio Corsa. After I bought it, the seller, Alex in Switzerland, reported that Faliero Masi had worked at Learco Guerra at the time my bike was built (mid- to late-1940s). When did he start on his own? When were Cambio Cora/Paris-Roubaix bikes last built?
I wonder whether so many Cambio Corsa bikes survived in relatively good condition because they became obsolete so rapidly? I assume that after the advent of the Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleur, you had to be a Luddite of some sort to order a new bike with Cambio Corsa/Paris-Roubaix.
How do I determine whether my bike was built by Faliero? The workmanship is very nice, especially compared to many Cambio Corsa Bianchis I have seen. I wonder whether there were some trademark features on early Masis that may be present on my bike (or not). Not that that would prove anything...
